Shraddha Sharma has been receiving headlines across the country for her
candid style of expression. She earned fame due to her openness. She was also a
participant in Big Boss Season-5, where she was along with leading artists like
Pooja Bedi, Shakti Kapoor, Sunny Leon, etc. Dialogue India Bureau Chief Sharif
Bharati spoke to her at her Castle Tower residence in Mumbai recently. Excerpts:
Your fellow participants in Big Boss Season-5 called you extremely outspoken and tantrum. Why this impression? Practically, I am very cool. But when somebody tries to hurt or insult me, I give him immediate reply. I cannot behave in good manner with those who do not hesitate to misbehave others. But I am very cool and respectable to those who are good. Where do you find yourself after the reality show like Big Boss? The Big Boss proved to be a good platform for me. I am really lucky…The show personally benefited me the lot. A large number of women liked me. Wherever I go, they love me for my frankness. Big Boss is a show where a person is seen in his/her real form. It is a show where good is seen good and bad is seen bad as one cannot live an unreal life for long. What are you doing after the Big Boss? Recently, I judged a show for Big Magic Channel. Aman Vermaji was also there with me. In this show, the participants displayed standup comedy, dance, folk dance, magic and classical dance. My film, Sarfaroshi, is soon to be released. Ayyub Khan has a debut role in it. Its story is based on police administration. It is expected to be released in December. How are your relations with other participants of Big Boss? I often talk to Sunny Leon over phone. Amar Upadhyaya has also become my good friend. I speak almost to all. The closeness between you and Shakti Kapoor remained in the news for long. What do you feel about Shaktiji? Shakti Kapoorji is a good human being. He behaved in good manners in Big Boss. But I feel he has changed after coming out of the show. I still meet him. If you had to chose the winner in Big Boss, who would be that? Rageshwari. She mixes up with all. She has very loving nature. Do you have any interest in politics? No, not at all. There was too much politics in the house of Big Boss. I learnt much from this show. Your Jalebi Bai dance was appreciated by all. Do the audiences demand for it in your shows? People liked my performance in this song. It is in high demand in my all shows. Prior to the Big Boss, in how many serials you have worked? Suno Har Dil Kuchh Kahata Hai on Sahara One and Sarathi on Star Plus. What is your target in life? I have focused on the movies more than the serials. I have no god father in the industry. That is why I have been struggling for the last five years. I know struggle fetches good results. That is why I am struggling. Will you say something to ‘Dialogue India’ readers? I thank all those who like me. I hope I will perform better in future and will try to rise to their expectations.
