It refers to welcome initiative by team of www.mygov.in to have meetings in groups of 5-10 persons on every Friday for popularizing the portal amongst masses for connecting people of this nation with the government in a positive manner. It was indeed a pleasant surprise to get such an invite for Friday-meet on 05.05.2017. However www.mygov.in can and should be popularized amongst school-children and college-youngsters to prepare an aware and informative citizenry for future. Even school text-books can carry chapters on government connected with social media including on www.mygov.in
Character-limit of just 500 characters for submissions made on www.mygov.in is too low. Even portal inviting suggestions and other submissions on website of Prime Minister, has 3000-chaecter-limit with no bar on special characters. Undoubtedly character-limit is a must for all such portals to prevent people posting extra-long submissions. Portals www.mygov.in and www.transformingindia.mygov.in can have character-limit of at least 2000 characters if not 3000.
People are encouraged by Prime Minister naming some very few selected persons having made postings on www.mygov.in in his monthly Man-ki-Baat radio-message. Further motivation for using the portal can be by having a weekly recorded programme telecast on Doordarshan and broadcast on Akashwani on www.mygov.in Participants can be selected from amongst those having taken part in gFriday group discussions held at Electronics Sadan at New Delhi. However care is necessary by government-departments providing inputs for Man-Ki-Baat by Prime Minister, because an RTI response confirms that idea once appreciated by Prime Minister for 25-rupee note was never considered by concerned authorities. RTI response is attached.
