Legacy of wealth of former TN Chief Minister J Jaylaitha: Wealth should go to the state

It refers to high-voltage drama once again enacted on 11.06.2017 at residential palace of former Tamilnadu Chief Minister J Jaylalitha at Chennai, where her niece Deepa once again tried for a dramatic uninformed entry to Poes Garden ultra-luxurious bungalow.

J Jayalitha left huge wealth which as per official declaration in the year 2015 was rupees 117.13 crore, with movable assets worth Rs. 45.04 crore and immovable assets worth Rs.72.09 crore. She has left no dependants or any will. According to media-reports, she had no relations with her only nearest relation her niece Deepa who was not even allowed to enter Apollo Hospital at Chennai during her last days.

If much-awaited Supreme Court verdict against her would have come in her life-time, all her assets would have gone to the state with herself having been lodged in discomfort of jail. As such under the circumstances, all her movable and immovable assets should go to the state, without allowing these to be football for greed between rival ones claiming her legacy.
