Presently Public-Griviance-Portals exist on websites of President and Prime Minister of India under www.helpline.rb.nic.in and www.pgportal.gov.in/pmocitizen/Grievancepmo.aspx with both these portals auto-forwarding posted submissions at www.pgportal.gov.in administered by Department of Administrative Reforms (Government of India). It is a useless exercise resulting in wastage of man-power and resources of high offices like those of President and Prime Minister of India. In case it is desired to have such a portal on website of Prime Minister of India getting maximum average daily hits exceeding 2000, then such a facility should available only on this website but duly publicised abolishing the other ones like www.helpline.rb.nic.in and www.pgportal.gov.in It is significant that facility available at website of Prime Minister of India is most exhaustive with even suggestions also entertained, while www.pgportal.gov.in does not entertain suggestions. On the other hand, www.helpline.rb.nic.in is not so user-friendly with a bar on special characters that too with extremely low usage of just about 40 hits per day.
However best will be to decentralise all these portals so that such portals providing registration-numbers and also entertaining suggestions with special characters allowed may be compulsorily put on websites of all departments, ministries, public-authorities, public-sector undertakings of central and all state governments. Moreover instead of wasting money on totally useless feed-back call-numbers, system should be to mail interim and final responses rather than persons having made submissions requiring to visit portal to know status or outcome of posted submissions.
