Bank of Baroda should introduce seven-day per week working after merger of Dena Bank and Vijaya Bank with reduced number of branches
Bank of Baroda should initiate process of merging nearby small branches of erstwhile Dena Bank and Vijaya Bank into the nearing bigger branch after merger on 01.04.2019 for a drastic cut in useless overheads, rent, salaries and other expenses. Surplus staff available after reduction of number of branches should be better utilised for unique seven-day per week working without any weekly or public holiday by providing two weekly-offs by rotation or by mutual consent amongst employees with bank-services taken as essential services like air, road or rail travel. Already some small private banks have started giving such seven-day per week banking.
Thereafter even two-shift banking from 8 am to 8 pm can be started initially in select branches. Such a unique initiative will make public rush to...
