It is indeed a matter of big concern that for the first time in history of India that a state Chief Minister has made a verbal attack on the state Governor in a media-conference when Mamta Banerjee blamed Kesrinath Tripathi allegedly for talking to her in such an insulting manner that she thought of even resigning. State governor has exhibited political maturity by not making public his conversation with state Chief Minister.
Since Mamta Banerjee has already bypassed norms by publically levelling serious allegations against the state Governor, she should prove her allegations by making public phone-recording between her and Kesrinath Tripathi in case conversation has been recorded on mobile-phone. Otherwise she can reveal some exact quotes of state Governor to justify her allegations.
State governor has a constitutional duty to take up matters of public interest brought to his notice with state Chief Minister in case he is primarily satisfied with seriousness of the matter. Rather the governor would be failing in his duty if he would have been a mute spectator to harm caused by such acts of a Chief Minister which would have been against public-interest. Appeasement of a particular section of society just for vote-bank politics must not be allowed and tolerated.
