Monarchy in naming roads in New Delhi remains despite red-light VVIP culture gone

It is shocking that monarchy still reflects in naming roads of Delhi despite Prime Minister taking initiative to abolish VVIP culture by abolishing red-light beacons from car-tops.

New Delhi and Bhopal both have a road named each after former Union Minister Madhavrao Scindia of Congress who was also son of former Maharaja of Gwalior. While road in Bhopal is simply named as Madhavrao Scindia Marg, road in New Delhi is named as Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Marg. Elder lady of the same royal family, an erstwhile BJP leader, also has a road named after her in New Delhi as Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Marg.

Since the royal family has its members in both the big political parties namely BJP and Congress, no one tries to do away with such unholy culture of pre-fixing monarchy signs of Shrimant and Rajmata from names of roads in New Delhi. Argument of personalities being famous with these pre-fixes is baseless because there is no pre-fix like Samrat in roads named after former legendry rulers like Ashoka, Prithviraj and others even though they were also popular with pre-fix Samrat before their names. New Delhi Municipal Council should immediately remove monarchy pre-fixes of Shrimant and Rajmata from roads named after Madhavrao Scindia and Vijayaraje Scindia like is done in Bhopal.
