Having pet dogs even in narrow lanes of old cities has become a fashion of status-conscious society of urbanites. But they do not care for dirtiness spread by their dogs in streets. Registration of pet dogs should be made compulsory requiring people to hang authorised registration-numbers provided by civic bodies in necks of their dogs. All those having pet dogs should be directed to ensure that no dirtiness may be spread in streets, parks and other public places by their pet dogs, making it compulsory to tie bags for their shit. Exemplary fine may be imposed whose pet dogs are found without shit-bags.
Unfortunately status-conscious society in India is quick to copy advanced countries to have pet dogs. But they do not care to copy people of those countries for feeling responsibility to tie shit-bags on their dogs. At least capital city of Delhi must have all such restrictions on having pet dogs.
