It refers to ever-increasing rush in GB Pant Hospital run by Delhi Government at tax-money of Delhi people where majority of people coming there are from outside Delhi, because free medicines including costly ones are distributed only in hospitals run by Delhi government. Even other hospitals in Delhi run by central government including like AIIMS and RML hospital do not have such a system of providing free medicines or costly facilities like MRI and body-scanning. People coming from outside Delhi should ask their own state-governments to provide free medicines and treatments like is done by Delhi government rather than being a burden on tax-money of Delhi people. Heavy rush of people queuing up at so many counters of GB Pant Hospital (Delhi) results in counter-persons not able to have proper record of issued medicines, thus issuing even surplus medicines at times.
System should be thoroughly overhauled so that Aadhar Card with Delhi address may be must for OPD card which should contain full details including Aadhar-number, complete name and address as on Aadhar-card, mobile-number etc to avoid issue of duplicate OPD card. Issue of Aadhar-linked OPD card should be interlinked on-line with all hospitals of Delhi. Doctors should be able to endorse diseases, investigations, reports and medicines on computers rather than writing manually on OPD cards. Printed slip for getting medicines indicating quantity then can be given to the patients to be presented on medicine-counters. Such a system only can make counter-persons have a proper record of issue of medicines. People from outside Delhi however can be provided free medical services including medicines only for emergency-services, and not for OPD services. Same system should be in all hospitals run by Delhi Government, and at website of Delhi State Health Mission.
