It refers to six-fold rise in car-sales after lockdown was lifted in Delhi with data further revealing that most of the cars sold in this period was high-end cars afforded by rich and elite. This clearly establishes that it was middle-income group which was worst affected by corona-crisis and lockdown with all government-relief aimed at poorer section of society or grabbed by rich becoming even more richer as is clear from share-prices and big business-deals by richest person and corporate-group of India.
It is for central and state governments to look into plight of middle-income people which mainly include traders giving big employment in private sector. If middle-income traders become prosperous, then automatically poorer section of people will get employment thus sharing burden of governments in providing monetary or subsidized relief to poorer section of society.
