a license to pollute: by offering them another two years’ extension
for meeting the norms for sulphur dioxide
Ironically, the new amendment and notification comes just before the
International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies (today). It exposes the ministry’s
casual attitude towards tackling pollution
New Delhi, September 7, 2022: Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) has strongly criticised the environment ministry’s latest amendment to the 2015 notification on emission norms for coal-based thermal power plants. The amendment was notified on September 5.
