The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprisesis striving to increase the number of micro and small industries in the country on a sustainable basis through implementation of various schemes andprogrammes. The Ministry provides better credit facility, technology upgradation and skilling to boost the entire MSME eco-system. ‘Make in India’ programme is being used by the Government for defence procurements by categorising the capital acquisition proposals under ‘Buy (Indian-IDDM)’, ‘Buy (Indian)’, ‘Buy and Make (Indian)’, ‘Make’ and ‘Strategic Partnership Model’ categories of Defence Procurement Procedure (DPP)-2016. DPP -2016 focuses on institutionalising, streamlining and simplifying defence procurement procedure to give a boost to ‘Make in India’ initiative of the Government of India. The National Policy on Biofuels-2018 notified on 8.6.2018, inter-alia, allows production of ethanol from damaged food grains like wheat, broken rice etc. which are unfit for human consumption. The policy also allows conversion of surplus quantities of food grains to ethanol, based on the approval of National Biofuel Coordination Committee. Use of damaged foodgrains and surplus foodgrains for production of ethanol will increase its availability for Ethanol Blended Petrol (EBP) Programme.  During the ethanol supply year 2017-18, 150.5 crore litres of ethanol was blended in Petrol which resulted in foreign exchange impact of about Rs. 5070 crore and carbon emission reduced to the extent of 29.94 lakh tonnes. केंद्रीय वित्त और कॉर्पोरेट कार्य मंत्री श्रीमती निर्मला सीतारमण की अध्यक्षता में आज यहां जीएसटी परिषद की 35वीं बैठक हुई। नई सरकार के शपथ ग्रहण के बाद परिषद की यह पहली बैठक थी। इस बैठक में केंद्रीय वित्त और कॉर्पोरेट कार्य राज्य मंत्री श्री अनुराग ठाकुर के अलावा राजस्व सचिव श्री अजय भूषण पांडे और वित्त मंत्रालय के अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारी भी उपस्थित थे। परिषद ने वस्तुओं और सेवाओं की आपूर्ति पर निम्‍नलिखित जीएसटी की दरों से संबंधित परिवर्तनों की सिफारिश की है। इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन, चार्जर और इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन किराये पर लेने के बारे में जीएसटी रियायतों से संबंधित मुद्दों पर परिषद ने सिफारिश की है कि इस मुद्दे की निर्धारण समिति (फिटमेंट कमिटी) द्वारा विस्तार से जांच की जाए और अगली बैठक में परिषद के समक्ष प्रस्‍तुत किया जाए। सौर ऊर्जा उत्‍पादन प्रणालियां और पवन टर्बाइन माननीय...
