RBI should altogether abolish concept of foreclosure charges

Reserve Bank of India in an RTI response dated 03.09.2009 had mentioned that RBI does not approve policy of foreclosure-charges on pre-payment of loans, but keeping short of issuing any directives. But subsequently foreclosure-charges in respect of home-loans were abolished by an RBI directive dated 05.06.2012 but only in respect of banks and not for Non-Banking-Financial-Companies (NBFC). However NBFCs themselves abolished foreclosure-charges in respect of home-loans due to their competition with banks in loan-business. Department of Consumer Affairs should amend the rules whereby it may be compulsory to pack all commodities in true metric-spirit in units of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 gms or mltrs or ltrs or kgs or units only so that consumer may judge comparative prices of a commodity marketed by different companies. Any liberty to pack in units other than suggested ones gives manufacturers cheat consumers through gimmick packaging. Extend deadline to restrict sale of shares in physical form with adequate publicity

Security and exchange Board of India SEBI has fixed 05.12.2018 as date from which shares of companies will not be allowed to be transferred in physical form. But still there is a very large number of old share-holders who are not aware of SEBI decision. SEBI should extend the deadline till say 31.03.2018 but with regular and adequate media-publicity.
