Pakistan history books call fanatic killer, of Hindus, AURANGZEB as Deeni Badshah ( Religious king ), So far India has endorsed the words and decisions of corrupt congress and Nehru dynasty, in India. All names under Nehru family, must be changed to the names of Indian SHAHEEDS and India Hero like Bhagat Singh, Rana artap Singh, etc.. Nehru was a corrupt, selfish politician. NOT A Hero. !!

Why is it when Hindus seek to correct distortions , refuse to honor atrocious tyrants with names on main thoroughfares it becomes ‘communal agenda of divisive nationalism’ ? It appears if Hindus as long as they subject themselves to any atrocity meekly , it is taken as normal  but let Hindus show even a slight trace of resistance or protest they are derided as looking at their past with jaundiced eyes.

Actually jaundice exists in detractors who bring out hate filled diatribes against Hindus and Hinduism couched in sophisticated verbiage.  Every other sentence in write up below reeks venom against Hindus.
Sudhras were oppressed hence they chose Islam, for what so that they can be like ‘Haris’ in Pakistan ? This is a mere afterthought to provide apologia to Islamic fanatic regimes that came to dominate India . There are any number of  Tariqs(Diaries) or ‘namas’ (records of chronicles of various Sultans and Mughals) where proudly how many were mowed down , how many temples got converted to Mosques and how many Hindus were converted were faithfully recorded. Actually they were more honest than dubious revisionists resorting to suppressio veri and suggestio falsi to hoodwink people of India. Mohammedan tyrants focused on converting so called upper castes, Brahmins and Kshtriyas , since they are held in high esteem, those who look up to them will also fall in line and embrace Islam.
Following account will further elucidate the strategy of genocide planned on Hindus of India during Mohammedan domination , with some focus on Aurangazeb , removal of whose name on a main thorough fare appears to be causing undying heart burn certain circles . It is rather disingenuous to claim, see there are still Hindus left after 800 years of Mohammedan rule so their reign must not have been bad after all . This is as absurd as telling that Bubonic  Plague epidemic is very benign because there are still people alive after its attack. Those who adhere to such notions apparently refuse to see stubborn resistance offered by Hindu defenders at a great sacrifice , refusing to bow their heads before one tyrant or another .
Our history is full of such heroic sagas. Founding of Vijayanagar or resistance by heroes like Rana Pratap  illustrate India’s sagacious nature, eventually overcoming every oppressive regime .  Any one who is aware of Rana’s life , his  overcoming all odds to retain his freedom , his sacrifices along with that of suffering of his family  and eventual triumph albeit without liberating Chitore, unless he or she is an incorrigible devotee of peculiar secularism in India which stipulates one must uphold Shariat and Aurangazeb  in order to be secular in India,  can only come to one conclusion, about Rana Pratap , he was great in every respect.  To day Hindu civilization and ethos remain in India and in turn pluralism and democracy flourish there but not in areas lost to admirers of Aurangazeb,  illustrates validity of resistance offered by likes of Rana Pratap and Shivaji et al , otherwise there would have been more sky scrapers in United State reduced to scrap metal by followers of likes of Aurangazeb.
The following account tells us about martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur. And what was done to him , and what was done to force Brahmins of Kashmir  not Sudras mind you, into Islam before, including cutting off their sacred threads just in one day weighing about a ‘ maund’  (nearly 100 pounds ) along with cutting off heads since they refused to obey Aurangazeb to become Moslems, also further inform us as to why there are still Hindus in India. It is such sacrifices at every level in India , today virtues like democracy , liberty remain for all people, including Muslims . It is only in India where shias and sunnis can go to their mosques with out fear of being blown apart unlike in Pakistan where Aurangazeb is considered as a ‘Pir’, a model to be emulated.
Before we go further, there are apologists for the Mughal with  regard to Guru Teg Bahadur too. Do you know why Aurangazeb had Guru Tegbahadur tortured and beheaded ? Because he was a bandit states text books authored no doubt by a eminent secular historian. Now if any one proposes and changes such abominable anomaly , of course you know what cry goes up ? Saffronization .  Similarly we should leave name of illustrious Mughal on name plate  of major street in Delhi, otherwise removing it will amount communal divisive nationalism. Such is perversity which passes for progressivism  in India that is not Bharath.

Martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur and Kashmiri Pandits

The martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur has a multi-dimensional significance in the annals of Kashmir, especially for the survival of Kashmiri Pandits. Aurangzeb was very eager to convert India, “the land of the infidels into the land of the faithfuls”. The Brahmins preserved the Hindu religion and their wholesale conversion to Islam would have helped him in bringing the rest of the Hindus into Muslim fold. He thought of converting Brahmins to Islam because they form the core of the Hindu religious tradition. So he started persecuting them.

Kashmiri Pandits were renowned for their learning and orthodoxy. When the Mughal emperor turned his eyes towards them, he encountered stiff resistance. During 49 years of his reign, Kashmir was administered by 14 governors. Iftikhar Khan was the most fanatic and bigoted of these. He ruled Kashmir from 1671 to 1675. He was using force ruthlessly to convert Pandits to Islam. Faced with an ultimatum, many of them began to flee Kashmir. Those who stayed back and refused to accept Islam were put to sword.
Some Kashmiri Pandits met under the leadership of Pandit Kripa Ram of Mattan and decided to go to the Swami Amarnath cave temple and invoke the mercy of Lord Shiva. At the holy cave temple, one of them saw Lord Shiva in a dream Who told him to go to Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Guru of Sikhs, and ask for help to save the Hindu religion. He spoke to his companions about the revelation and they all decided to appeal him.
Guru Tegh Bahadur was a multi-faceted genius. He was a Prophet, a Saviour, a Mystic, a poet, a martyr and a great visionary. A visionary who could understand reality in its totality. He was saviour of the Hindus. He fought against fanaticism and championed the cause of religious freedom. He was one of the greatest liberator of mankind. His hymns gave a clear idea of his vision of life and have been a source of spiritual solace to millions of men and women. Mystics have a vision of life and the Guru was a mystic visionary as well as a revolutionary. He was a fearless man and an enlighted soul. He was a saint, a yogi, a soldier and a prince. He dressed like a prince, took part in hunting, participated in battles, but was basically a saint. He was a true yogi who led the life of a householder. He fought in self defence and when he deemed it fit, he laid down his life in defence of helpless Kashmiri Pandits.
Guru Tegh Bahadur was leading a secular movement and was immensely popular. He attracted large crowds wherever he went. Out of 11 years of his spiritual reign, he spent almost 8 years in                traveling through Bengal, Bihar, Assam, Orissa, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab. He visited almost all the places earlier visited by Guru Nanak Dev Ji to propagate the message of humanity. During his                tour, he came across and exchanged views with Brahmins, Vaishnav saints, Sufis and all those who had been upset by Aurangzeb’s increasing oppression. The Guru came to be admired by them. He was all compassion for the suffering humanity and people flocked to him in large numbers. The Guru maintained an open kitchen. To serve the congregation the residents of the villages voluntarily collected food stuffs, milk and butter for Guru’s langer. It was his identification with the people and his love and compassion for them, which created the popular perception of the Guru as a hero who could come to the rescue of the down- trodden. They took him as their saviour. He became a source of spiritual solace for the suffering people and they saw in him their protector against tyranny. That is why the Kashmiri Pandits felt that he could help them and protect them from the tyrannical rule of Aurangzeb.
The Mughals ruled India for more than two hundred years. Earlier Muslim dynasties had very short span of life .The Khalji dynasty ruled for 30 years(1290-1321), the Tughlaq dynasty for 94 years(1321-1414), Sayyads for 37 years (1414-1451) and the Lodis ruled for 75 years. The Mughal emperor Aurangzeb wanted to convert India-the land of ‘infidels’ into an Islamic country. He considered conversion to Islam as a part of his imperial policy. He demolished temples and humiliated Hindus. He tried to make the Mughal state a Muslim theocracy. In November 1665 he issued orders that Holi not be celeberated and in the same year Diwali was also banned. In 1668 Aurangzeb banned the holding of Hindu festivals in pilgrimage centers. In 1668 he banned music and dismissed musicians. Taxes were imposed on Hindus in almost every field. Pilgrim tax was imposed in 1679. Jizya was re-imposed in the same year. It was an attempt to humiliate the Hindu elite. Abu Talib was sent to the friendly state of Jaipur and he reported that he had demolished 66 temples at Amber. During his march to Deccan the emperor ordered the destruction of all the temples en-route. He celebrated his victory over Golkanda by destroying temples at Hyderabad. In 1692 he ordered that the temple at Rasulpur should be destroyed. Hiteshwar Mandir at Barnagar in Guujarat was destroyed in 1693. In 1696-97 temples at Sorath in Gujarat were demolished. He stopped the public worship of idols at Dwarka. Prominent Hindu temples demolished on orders from Aurangzeb; Lalita Temple at Delhi, Temples of Malirana(Jaipur),
Vishhvanath temple and Gopi Nath temple at Benaras in August 1669. Vallabhcharya temple at Mathura. At Surat the Brahmins were asked to pay a large sum of protection money. In 1707 Hindus
were not allowed to burn their dead on the banks of river Sabarmati at Ahmedabad. Fireworks of all kinds were prohibited as per Fatwa-e- Alamgiri. Almost the whole of the Muslim period in the history of India was a crusade against Hindu religion and culture.
In March 1671 a Muslim officer was sent to Ujjain to demolish Hindu temples. The Hindus of Ujjain rose in protest. They rioted and killed the officer and many of his soldiers. There were many other stray attempts by Hindus to resist the high handedness of the emperor. It was Shivaji who was the lone protector of Hinduism. He fought many battles and finally founded Maratha Empire.
The Hindu centers of pilgrimage were citadels of Hinduism. Aurangzeb focused his attention specially on Kashmir, Kuruksheta, Varanasi and Haridwar. He ordered that the Brahmins of these places should be brought into the fold of Islam. According to Macauliffe, ‘The Sikh Religion’ Vol. IV. P369.” The experiment of wholesale conversion was first tried in Kashmir. The Kashmiri Pandits were well known for their scholarship and converting them to Islam would encourage other Hindus to embrace Islam. Surrounded as they were with Muslim lands, they could be threatened with war and complete annihilation. The peaceful Kashmiris could not be expected to resist the Muslim military might. The emperor also felt that he might succeed in tempting the Brahmins from Kashmir into accepting Islam by promises of money and government appointments.” Koer Singh Kalal, the author of ‘Gurbilas Patshahi Das’, Chapter IV. Says that “there was piled up a heap of a maund and quarter of janeus (sacred threads) of the Hindus who had embraced Islam under the command of Iftikhar Khan. Many of the Brahmins who did not accept Islam under the threat of death managed to escape from Kashmir and under the guidance of Kirpa Ram, they reached the Darbar of Guru Tegh Bahadur.”
On May 25,1675, when 500 Brahmins from the valley led by Pandit Kripa Ram (a sanskrit teacher in Gobind Rai) came to Anandpur to narrate their story of repression and woes to Guru Tegh Bahadur. The Guru was moved by their entreaties and told them that their problem could be solved only if some soul of truthfulness and integrity offers himself for sacrifice. His son, Gobind Singh, who was at that time just nine years old, said; ”Who else can be more truthful and sublime than you! You alone can protect the Hindu religion. You alone are that graceful and sublime.” Guru Tegh Bahadur was delighted to hear the brave words of his son. He told the Kashmiri Pandits to go and tell the emperor that if he could be able to convert the Guru to Islam,                they would gladly follow him. This resolve of the Guru and his ultimate sacrifice brought tremendous change in the body politic of India, leading in turn to the establishment of the Khalsa by his brave son Guru Gobind Singh, the decline of the Mughal supremacy and re-establishment of religious tolerance.
Malcolm writes in ‘Sketch of Sikhs, P.33’ ;” The Sikhs stung by a deep sense of injuries listened to the Guru with all the ardour of men commencing a military career of glory. They listened with rapture to a son glowing, with vengeance against the murderers of his father who taught a doctrine suited to his troubled state of mind, called upon his followers by every feeling of manhood, to lay aside their peacable habits, to graft the resolute courage of the solider on the enthusiasm of the devotee to swear eternal war with the cruel and haughty Mohammedans.”
On November 11, 1675, Guru Tegh Bahadur attained martyrdom at Chandi Chowk, Delhi. It is known as Gurdwara Sisgunj Sahib. Three of the Guru’s devotees, Bhai Mati Das, Bhai Sati Das and Bhai Dayala, had been tortured to death a day earlier on the very spot on which the Guru was martyred. Before these fearless followers of the Guru had their tryst with divinity, the Guru had blessed them and said,” All my blessings are with you — my noble disciples. What greater joy and pride can I have than the thoughts that my dearest disciples were with me. “
Guru Tegh Bahadur’s martyrdom is an event of greatest importance in the evolution of the Indian ethos, especially the history of Kashmiri Pandits. In his supreme sacrifice can be perceived the triumph of the eternal glory of the Indian spiritual tradition.
————————-
It is Gurus like Teg Bahadur, heroes like Rana Pratap, Shivaji et al and so many more common people of India whose names are lost to history, who helped to preserve Hindu Dharma but not any benevolence or benign nature of likes of Aurangazeb . India is in ascendancy at present , Hindu culture is already playing positive role in promoting civilization in the world , on one day in June 2015 whole world including Muslim nations practiced Yoga. No body put a sword on any body to force them to do so. In the past our culture and civilization went to far flung areas in similar manner and in future too same phenomenon is bound to take place. Indonesia is world’s largest Muslim nation. Yet they play Ramayana dramas and study Bhagvad Gita, even though no Hindu missionary lured them with rice or forced them . That is all encompassing, all inclusive culture and civilization of India, now called Hindu. It is a pity that self alienated, hate filled of India origin fail to see virtues of their own ancestry. It is their loss. Their favorites like Alamgir are history , no body is going to turn clock back .  With, without or in spite of such elements India will march, Hindu Dharma will progress .
Best wishes,

HIDDEN MEANING IN MASS MUSLIM MADNESS
Throughout history one side has invaded the other for LAND, GOLD and/or WOMEN.
Those who increase their numbers rapidly by having multi wives and vastly large number of children will soon find their populations “bursting at the seams”. Muslims have had the ambition of “subjugating” the world since the time of Mohammed who encouraged very HIGH birth rate to boost the strength of his armies. He not only allowed them up to FOUR wives each but also encouraged his fighters to distribute the women of the slain Christians, Jews and Infidels among them! This is exactly what the Isil (Islamic State) are doing in Irak and Syria today!
However, unlike the previous centuries when the invaders could conquer country after country in one mighty push, today the Muslims are forced to think of other (unconventional) ways to occupy the others’ LAND.  The weaker and “softer” the other country, the more often it will be invaded. Our Hindusthan is one such permanent prey of Islamic and Western predators.
We need to bear another fact in mind. To ensure success the invader has to be highly charged and motivated, and use SURPRISE.
Surprise is achieved when the victim is TAKEN unawares as the USA was on September 11, 2001. Before that the Americans were caught with their “pants down” by the Japanese Imperial Navy at Pearl Harbour.
With regard to “being surprised” perhaps Hindusthan holds world record. It is here that the enemy has been successful countless times since, it seems, that WE REFUSE TO LEARN ANY LESSON! It is part of this LETHAL CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY WITH THE DEVIL that the word “Partition” has become taboo! Hence that disgusting and dishonourable surrender of 1947 will NOT be the last defeat that Bharat suffered!
The Muslim invaders were experts in the use of SURPRISE, part of Islamic ”TAQYA”, i.e., lies and immorality are permissible to achieve one’s goal. Often when cornered, the Muslims swore by Koran (to behave) but broke their word within hours. They pushed the cows to the front to confuse the Hindu defenders (Regrettably, Hindus were never the invaders!). The other time they attacked at night when fighting was usually done between sunrise and sunset. Again, to our shame we never sent out spies to inform our rulers when Mohammed Bin Qasim, Mahmud of Ghazni , Babur or Ahmed Shah Abdali were preparing to march on Hindusthan.
The INDIAN Muslims surprised us on 23 March 1940 with their Pakistan Resolution and later Pakistan, barely a few days old, surprised Pandit Nehru by invading Kashmir. As if that was not enough even the Chinese “brothers” surprised our incompetent rulers by suddenly invading NEFA in 1962.
Now that the huge mass of Muslim migrants has caught Lady Europe “WITH HER KNICKERS DOWN”, using radically new tactics by thrusting forward in their hundreds of thousands, women and children included, Bharat has to think of SOUTH Kashmir where Hindus have already gone MISSING. (North Kashmir is already GONE!).
Therefore we end with earnest plea to Modiji, “Please abolish Article 370 from your Constitution

Looking at the Past: Jaundiced Views
Ram Puniyani
Using the jaundiced version of the past is one of the biggest tools of communal forces. The prevalence of hatred towards ‘other’ communities is rooted in the versions of past which are part carry over from the past legacy introduced by British and part constructed by the communalists, who in turn ‘select’ the incidents and distort it in such a way so as to fit in their scheme of things. The same incident may be interpreted from opposite angles by competing communal ideology. This view of past at one level glorifies the kings of one’s own religion while looks down upon the kings of other religion. So, for example, currently there is an assertion to call Rana Pratap as great. Why and how some king becomes great? The parameters differ.
Sometimes in the same region the interpretation of king varies with different castes and different religions, and this is so much true about Maharashtra’s Shivaji. For some he the one who is devoted to cows and Brahmins, for others he is the one concerned about welfare of rayyat (farmers). The most important distortion of presenting king in the identity of his religion is that the underlying system of authoritarianism and feudal exploitation gets undermined, hidden from the popular perception. Also the very concept that Kingdoms did not have the concept of citizenship and nation state also goes for the toss and the claim of origin of nationalism starts taking root from the first king of that religion, like Mohammad Bin Kasim being regarded as the founder of Islamic nationalism. Here Hindu communalists claim to be a nation state from the Anaadi Kal (Past beyond boundaries), irrespective of what might have been the pattern of social organization, tribe, clan, kingdom etc., at that time.
In this again; some kings become good and some bad. As such all of them are sitting on the top of system of exploitation of the peasantry and prevalence of all the norms like caste hierarchy and patriarchy, which cannot be accepted today. The construction of Hindu communalism roots itself on demonization of Muslim kings and Aurangzeb seems to be leading the pack of such villains in the perceptions prevailing in Indian part of the subcontinent. Guided by these unshakable perceptions; one BJP MP called for the change of name of Aurangzeb road in Delhi, to APJ Abdul Kalam Road.
This was done in a total violation of prevailing practice of how the roads are named. It was upheld by the self proclaimed messiah of anti corruption movement Arvind Kejrival. The name changing was supposed to be an exercise in righting the wrongs of history! What has been right in the history is another matter of infinite debate and the answer will depend on which side of social ideology one is. What is right from the point of view of poor farmers, or dalits or Adivasis or women is a million dollar question. Glorying of Kings; barring those who stood up to protect the social interests of downtrodden; is very questionable.
All said and done Aurangzeb has been demonized to the extent that very mention of his name sends a shock to most of those who have imbibed the prevalent notions about him. Can one shake off the perception about his being so power hungry and that he killed his own brother Dara Shikoh for sake of power? The simple fact is the same thing applies to many kings. Emperor Ashok killed many of his cousins for coming to power. As late as in recent times the killing of Birendra Singh by his brother King Gyanendra is on the same lines. The conspiracies in the royal families have been part of the power structure of kingdoms all over.
What about Aurangzeb’s goal of converting the people to Islam on the point of the sword. To begin with Islam did not spread due to the Muslim kings; mostly it was the caste structure to escape which many shudras embraced Islam. Swami Vivekanand in his collected works Volume VIII, Page330 points out that conversion to Islam was to escape the caste system’s atrocities.  Islam also spread due to social interaction as in Mewat and Malabar Coast. What about Guru Gobinds’ sons being beheaded by Aurangzeb, was it an attempt to conversion or an attempt to humiliate the defeated king? This example cited in this case is that of a king who was defeated in battle and so when he sought pardon; this insulting condition was put. Alexander Hamilton, a British historian, toured India towards the end of Aurangzeb’s fifty year’s reign & observed that everyone was free to serve & worship god in his own way.
If Aurangzeb and other Muslims kings were here for the goal of conversions, in the whole eight hundred years of their rule; most of the population would have become Muslims. And how come so many court officials in their courts, who are having high designations, continued to retain their Hindu faith? They would have been ideal subjects for conversions. What about the dreaded Jazia? As per Prof. Harbans Mukhia, scholar of medieval history, Aurangzeb imposed jazia in 1669, well 21 years after his coming to power. The taxation policies of different kings had been changing from time to time. While able bodied Hindu males were to pay jazia, zakat was the tax to be paid by Muslims. There were many other taxes which Aurangzeb had lifted also. Jazia has got stuck in popular perception as a sign of Aurangzeb being anti Hindu. Then; what about the destruction of Vishwanth temple and building of mosque on the top of that?
There are some temples which were destroyed by him and some others supported with grants. A stone inscription in the historic Balaji or Vishnu temple, located north of Chitrakut, Balaghat, still shows that it was commissioned by the emperor Aurangzeb himself. His administration made handsome donations to temple of Pandharpur the seat of deity Vithoba. The great temples of Mahakaleshwara, Ujjain, Balaji temple, Chitrakut, Umanand temple Gauhati, & the Jain temple of Shatrunjai and gurudwaras scattered over northern India also received his grants. These firmans (court orders) were issued from 1659 to 1685AD. Dr. Vishambharnath Pandey did collect number of firmans of Aurangzeb where he gives the grants to Hindu temples. So how does one explain the contradiction? It is simple; due to factors related to power some temples were destroyed. To keep the subjects in good humor temples were also supported and to eliminate the sources of rebellions concentrating in temples others were destroyed as well.
The British must be having the last laugh! The history writing which they introduced was giving the king only a single identity, that of religion. Hindu and Muslim communal streams picked it up and modified it to suit their political goals of polarization of communities around them. The additional factor was that the British also had to win over the loyalty of the subjects from the earlier rulers, the Muslim-Mughal kings. So the formulation that they have come here as liberators from the cruel Muslim rule. What this meant for the sub continent is too well known by now with Shahshi Tharoor’s Oxford lecture going viral and telling us the extent of plunder done by these liberators, who claim they came here as part of ‘civilizing mission of the east’.
Akbar and Aurangzeb are presented in contracting colors, Dara Shikoh in yet another hue. All of them do represent the different shades of the personalities of the kings, but kings they were, primarily the head of the feudal system of society. The name changing game is part of the communal agenda of divisive nationalism, which feels the Emperor who ruled this part of the subcontinent for forty nine long years cannot have a road in his name.
