Violence in Bengaluru on 11.08.2020 by all accounts seemed to be pre-planned where just a facebook-post by an individual resulted in huge loss to private and public property with dozens of policemen injured in mob-violence. It is noteworthy that any thing against majority Hindus either through social media or poisonous speeches of religious fundamentalists of minority community have never resulted in any violence. No violence occurred anywhere in India even after highly objectionable portraying of Hindu gods and goddesses in paintings of Maqbool Fida Hussain. No pseudo-secular political party or self-termed human-rights-activists even voice against such aspects badly hurting religious sentiments of majority Hindus. At least all the three variants of Padma awards including Padma Vibhushan in the year 1991 should have been taken back from the painter for his paintings aimed to hurt Hindu community.
It is good that Karnataka government has decided to follow footsteps of Yogi-government in UP by deciding to recover heavy loss from rioters. But need of the hour is to immediately ban organisations involved in Bengaluru riots like was done in case of Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), and start taking immediate action against those spitting hatred. Presently such poisonous views of Islamic fundamentalist aimed to spit hatred and to create provocation amongst Muslim community are openly debated in panel-discussions on TV news-channels.
