Noted film-actress Sonakshi Sinha deserves all compliments for exposing bitter reality about Indian youngsters not having even elementary knowledge of great Indian epic Ramayana when as an expert-advisor in popular TV programme Kaun-Banega-Crorepati (KBC) anchored by mega-star Amitabh Bachchan, she could not help her co-participant about a simple-most question about Hanuman ji bringing Sanjeevni herb for Laxman ji. It was despite the fact that her residence is named Ramayana and her father and three uncles are named as Shatrughan, Ram, Laxman and Bharat, the four legendry brothers of great epic Ramayana. Central and state governments especially ruled by BJP should take lesson from the KBC episode, and include Ramayana and Mahabharat in school-syllabus starting from primary level. Teachi...

India should raise issue of drastic change in demography in Pakistan in counter to Pakistan crying on alleged atrocities on minorities in India

Ever since articles 370 and 35A have been repealed from Indian constitution by India through two-third majority in both Houses of Indian Parliament even with many opposition parties (except of course Congress, the generator of these poisonous provisions under Prime Ministership of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru), Pakistan is crying like anything on all global forums, though in vain, about alleged atrocities by India on Kashmiris allegedly for their being Islamic. Even though India through its bold stand has gained support globally even from unexpected sectors including Islamic world, yet sharper weapon of grilling Pakistan on drastic change in demography of Pakistan after independence with Hindu minority shrinking from 15-percent at time of independence to now at about just 1.5-percent is not ...

Civic bodies in Delhi should follow Ghaziabad civic-body for licence fees and other regulations for pet dogs also as unavoidable part of Clean-India movement

राज्य
All the civic bodies in Delhi should follow Ghaziabad civic-body of UP for imposing a licence-fees of rupees 5000 for pet dogs apart from other regulations like compulsion of tying shit-bags and taking measures that these dogs do not cause hygiene in public-places. If people are fond of pet dogs on lines of advanced nations, they must made to feel duty-bound like civilised people there to feel responsibility that their pet dogs do not cause unhygiene for others. It is quite common that affording rich send their domestic helps or maids with pet dogs to shit on roads. Any person getting caught making dogs shit at streets or public-places should not only be heavily fined but even arrested. All such steps are necessary for ambitious Clean-India movement of Prime Minister. Also stray dogs in...

With election-dates announced for state-assemblies of Haryana and Maharashtra, no approach towards much-needed simultaneous elections as favoured by Prime Minister

addtop, TOP STORIES, राज्य
Election Commission has announced election-schedule for Haryana and Maharashtra state assemblies with single-day poll to be held on 21.10.2019, meaning thereby that idea of much-needed simultaneous elections to Lok Sabha and all state-assemblies as also strongly advocated by Prime Minister, may not be a dream-come-true. A smart beginning could be made by imposing short-term President-rule in Haryana, Maharashtra and Jharkhand till February 2020 (Jammu-Kashmir is already under President-rule) when elections to all these state-assemblies could be held along with Delhi state-assembly in February 2020. Even Bihar state-assembly could be dissolved a bit earlier so that elections in Bihar could also be held in February, 2020. There would not have been resistance to such step because all th...

Why not a new capital of India rather than new buildings for Parliament and ministries

It refers to ambitious plan to build a new most-modern and spacious building for Parliament, and a composite big complex to house offices of all the central ministries at one place. All this coupled with other related plans like to develop Rajpath and other areas of Leyton New Delhi will cost very heavily to the exchequer. Presently capital-city New Delhi has become over-saturated and unplanned with so many new buildings being erected from time to time to originally systematic planned New Delhi way back in the year 1931. Many countries in the world and even states in India have preferred developing new capital-cities rather than spending too much for added requirements in the existing capitals. India presently virtually has a separate economic capital Mumba in in addition to main capita...
