
Karnataka political drama over but permanent remedial measures necessary to prevent immoral politics and to prevent unstable governments and hung assemblies
After week-long drama by deferring trust-vote by outgoing Karnataka Chief Minister, BJP is set to form a new government in the state with 10 Congress and 3 JD(S) MLAs having resigned from membership of the state-assembly evidently to pave way for fall of Kumaraswamy government which always ruled on ventilator with Chief Minister at times publicly crying on his helplessness to run government according to his will. Evidently present system of electing Speaker helped Congress-JD(S) alliance make a Speaker who helped Kumaraswamy government deferring trust-vote for so long despite even Supreme Court seized with the issue.
