जनगणना-2011 के अनुसार, कुल भारतीय ग्रामीण आबादी में से 74.5 प्रतिशत परिवारों की आय पांच हजार रुपये प्रति माह से कम है। इसके विपरीत भारत की वर्तमान केन्द्रीय मंत्रिपरिषद के 78 मंत्रियों में से 76 करोड़पति हैं। राज्य विधानसभाओं के 609 मंत्रियों में से 462 करोड़पति हैं। स्पष्ट है कि भारत की जनता गरीब है, किंतु वह जिन्हे चुनकर भेज रही है, वे अमीर हैं। आम भारतीय इरादतन अपराधी नहीं है। किंतु भारत सरकार की केन्द्रीय मंत्रिपरिषद के 78 मंत्रियों में से 24 के खिलाफ आपराधिक मामले हैं। राज्य सरकारों के 609 मंत्रियों से 210 मंत्रियों के खिलाफ आपराधिक मामले हैं। इसका मतलब है कि गैर अपराधी जनता करीब-करीब 33 प्रतिशत अपराधियों को चुनकर भेज रही है। उक्त चित्र, लोकतंत्र की मूल आस्था के विपरीत है। उक्त चित्र के मद्देनजर भारत में चुनाव सुधार का मुख्य मुद्दा फिलहाल एक ही है कि चुनाव में बाहुबल और धनबल क...

Jain “Charitable” Trust cheats Blind Flat-buyer

It's a simple case of cheating and breach-of-trust by a Jain "charitable" trust called Vardhman Sanskar Dham (Trust Reg. no. 19790 – Mumbai). In 2007, Vardhaman Sanskar Dham purchased a flat in Nairut building, Rajiv Nagar, Virar, for Rs 4.30 lakh. Four years later, in 2011, the trust sold this flat to a blind man named Mr Jethmal Sonigra for Rs 13.19 lakhs, earning more than three times the amount that it had invested. However, although the first letterhead-receipt of the trust clearly shows that Mr Sonigra had paid for purchase of the flat (565 sq. ft. x Rs 2,600/-), the second letter says that this amount is a "deposit" against which "we have hand over possession for residence purpose".
