Supreme Court verdict confirming death-penalty to all the four adult culprits in infamous and brutal rape-cum-murder Nirbhaya case of 16.12.2012 is welcome. But the verdict may not be slow-poisoned by tactics of delaying execution through lengthy procedures of review-petition and mercy-petition. Supreme Court should do away with tradition of hearings on review-petitions after rejection of mercy-petitions. Supreme Court should also direct governments to ensure decision on mercy-petitions in a time-bound period of say three months. Execution should take place within one week of rejection of mercy-petition. मशहूर अभिनेता विनोद खन्ना का मुम्बई में आज निधन हो गया। 70 वर्षीय विनोद खन्ना कैंसर से पीड़ित थे। हाल ही में उनकी एक तस्वीर भी वायरल हुई थी, जिसमें वे बेहद कमजोर नजर आ रहे थे। विनोद खन्ना अभिनय के साथ साथ राजनीति में सक्रिय थे और वे गुरदासपुर से सांसद रह चुके थे.  विनोद खन्ना ने मुंबई के रिलायंस फाउंडेशन अस्पताल में अंतिम सांस ली। विनोद खन्ना ने अपने फिल्मी जीवन में कई यादगार फिल्में दीं. उन्हें ‘मेरे अपने’, ‘मेरा गांव मेरा देश’, ‘इम्तिहान’, ‘इनकार’, ‘अमर अकबर एंथनी’, ‘लहू के दो रंग’, ‘कुर्बानी’, ‘दयावान’ और ‘जुर्म’ जैसी फिल्मों में उनके अभिनय के लिए जाना जाता है।...

एमसीडी चुनावों में करारी हार के बाद अब आम आदमी पार्टी में इस्तीफों का दौर शुरू हो गया है। कहा यह भी जा सकता है कि यह पार्टी में बढ़ते असंतोष को थामने की कवायद है. पंजाब चुनावों के दौरान भी संजय सिंह और दुर्गेश पाठक पर पैसे लेकर टिकट देने के आरोप लगे थे और इन नेताओं को लेकर बहुत ही गुस्सा कार्यकर्ताओं में था. बुधवार शाम को पार्टी की दिल्ली इकाई के अध्यक्ष रहे  दिलीप पांडे ने इस्तीफा दे दिया था और अब गुरुवार सुबह सुबह ही कई अन्य नेताओं ने भी अपने इस्तीफे सौंप दिए। संजय सिंह और दुर्गेश पाठक दोनों को ही अरविन्द केजरीवाल का नज़दीकी माना जाता है और आज इन दोनों ने भी अपने अपने पदों से इस्तीफा दे दिया है । उनके पास पंजाब चुनावों की जिम्मेदारी थी।  इन नेताओं के अलावा दिल्ली प्रदेश के प्रभारी आशीष तलवार ने भी एमसीडी चुनाव में हार की नैतिक जिम्मेदारी लेते हुए इस्तीफा दे दिया है।...
