‘paytm’ aunt-nephew TV-advertisement not in good taste
It refers to ‘paytm’ TV-advertisement showing a child getting cash-gift through ‘paytm’ on his mobile-phone from his aunt despite specific directions from his mother for not accepting any such cash-gift from the aunt. This advertisement while portraying the child as a greedy nephew, also wrongly educates a child to disobey his mother behind her back even after assuring his mother about obeying her.
Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, The Advertising Standards Council of India, Union Ministry for Child Development and National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) should take necessary steps to stop airing the said TV advertisement.
