The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has recently approved the dry swab direct RT-PCR method which is faster and more convenient than the existing gold standard Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test. The method has been devised by a team of researchers from the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB). The dry swab method is a modification of the RT-PCR test by cutting down a few steps. For RT-PCR, nasal swabs are collected and transported in a tube containing the viral transport medium (VTM) to ensure the stability of the viruses. I had to be admitted for acute gastroenteritis in a famous costly private hospital in Delhi on 23.10.2020 and was discharged on 28.10.2020. Despite corona-constraints, hospital-services were otherwise satisfactory except a complaint against a male nursing-attendant for which hospital must have taken action after a complaint being lodged with the hospital. वित्तीय वर्ष 2009-10 में गन्ने का समर्थन मूल्य (MSP) था 107.76 रूपये प्रति क्विंटल। लेकिन 2009-10 में चीनी बिक रही थी 42 रूपये प्रति किलोग्राम। जबकि 2020-21 में मोदी सरकार ने लगभग 155% अधिक, अर्थात्‌ 275 रूपये प्रति क्विंटल की दर से गन्ने का MSP किसानों को दिया है. लेकिन आश्चर्य की बात यह है कि 2010 में बाजार में जो चीनी 42 रूपये प्रति किलोग्राम की दर से बिक रही थी, आज 2020-21 में वही चीनी उससे लगभग 10% सस्ती क़ीमत पर 38 रुपये प्रतिकिलो की दर से बिक रही है। ध्यान रहे कि 2009-10 की तुलना में चीनी की उत्पादन लागत और ढुलाई की क़ीमत भी काफी बढ़ी है. यह भी निश्चित है कि कोई भी सुगर मिल या व्यापारी घाटा उठाकर तो चीनी नहीं ही बेंच रहा है। गन्ने के MSP और चीनी की MRP का यह अन्तर बिचौलियों व्यापरियों द्वारा 2009-10 में हो रही गन्ने के किसानों के हिस्से के लगभग 60 हजार करोड़ रुपये सालाना की लूट की ...
