It is time for indigenization of Indian Education

Silver Jubilee Celebration of Career Plus Education Society at The Hotel Shangri-La on 6 August 2022 witnessed discussions and brainstorming regarding present and future of higher education in India. Pioneers of education system, veteran politicians, government officials and public life personalities expressed themselves about future course of higher education. The event commenced with lamp lighting which was followed by National Anthem and Ganesh Vandna. In his inaugural address Anuj Agarwal and Niraj Kushwaha, Managing Director, Career Plus Group welcomed all the guests and gave brief introduction of Career Plus Education Society. He expressed gratitude towards central & various state governments for continuous assistance and support. He also shared his experiences of facing challenges of Covid-19 pandemic. He said that midst the profound disruption in the education sector due to the pandemic, society strived to reach to the students though online mediums.

Ramdas Athawale, Minister of Social Justice & Empowerment started his keynote address recognising efforts of Career Plus Society in spreading and delivering education to downtrodden and marginalized sections of society and congratulating them for completing 25 years. He urged the society to continue its excellent work and enlighten more and more sections of society with light of knowledge. He assured consistent support and cooperation for future endeavours of society. Mr. Athawale remembered personality and contribution of Atal Bihari Vajpayee while delivering “Atal Memorial Lecture”. Paying rich tributes to former Prime Minister, he called him as one of the most respected and admired Prime Ministers in India. Terming him as an embodiment of decency, dignity and decorum, Shri Athawale said that former Prime Minister was outstanding politician, administrator, poet and human being. He said that sensitivities of a poet heart inspired Mr Vajpayee to give utmost importance to welfare of masses rather than catering towards interests of privileged classes. He further said that the present Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is also following the ideals of former Prime Minister. He specially emphasized ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ ideology of present government is testimony of present government’s respect of ideals of Mr Vajpayee. He further outlined initiatives of present government in the field of education. According to him, New Education Policy would pave way for success of Indian higher education and would lead India towards becoming global hub of education.

Speaking on the occasion, IFFCO Vice-President Shri Balbir Singh said that the government has taken several steps for the welfare of the farmers. He praised Career Plus Society for its quality education and spread of knowledge to unprivileged people of society.

Shri Yogendra Narain, former Secretary General of Rajya Sabha discussed about impressive personality and simple nature of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. While praising the present government on issues of demonetisation and GST, he expressed that the present government did not hesitate to take tough decisions to save the economy from criminalization and ease the taxation process. This has happened because the present government considers Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee as her role model for whom welfare of the people was paramount. He also appreciated Career Plus Society for remembering poet Prime Minister.

President of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Seva Dal and Padma Shri recipient Jeetendra Singh Shanti shared his experience during the COVID-19 pandemic. Shri Shanti formed a rescue team and put his life at stake to carry dead bodies to the crematorium.

During the event, eminent educators were recognized and awarded for their outstanding contribution towards success society. Dr. Vijay Varma, Professor at Dyal Singh College, Delhi University, Dr. Rajendra Kumar, Professor at Hindu College, University of Delhi and Dr. Ramesh Prasad;  Pali Professor were included in the list of Awarded educators. These awardee educators also expressed thoughts about their association with career plus society. A presentation was also presented regarding achievements and future course of the society by Anuj Agarwal & Niraj Kushwaha, Managing Director, Career Plus Group and new prospectus was released. At the conclusion of event, various persons who contributed in various fields were honoured with “Sankalp Se Siddhi Award-2022”. The program was coordinated by Anil Verma, President, Hope and Faith Foundation.
