It refers to Congress-led Karnataka government issuing show-cause notice to DIG (prisons) D Roopa for alleged violation of service-rules when she exposed massive irregularity of VVIP jail-treatment to imprisoned AIIADMK leader VK Sasikala on payment of hefty bribe of rupees two crores or so. It is quite common that super-rich or influential prisoners usually find jails like some lonely luxury resort on basis of their money-power or other influence. D Roopa by exposing such a specific case should rather have been honoured on her bold initiative rather than being targeted by the state-government.
